to commemorate the opening of the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa in
1908. cent is graded SP-65 Red; Lacquered, by ICCS. 5 cents is Large
8 variety graded SP-64 by ICCS. 10 cents is graded SP-64, 25 cents
is graded SP-64, and 50 cents is graded SP-65. All silver coins are
toned. Box in excellent condition: Box 6c. red exterior with upper
inside in blue satin and leather strip impressed in gold lettering:
"First Coinage of Canadian Mint/Ottawa/1908. |

Issued
to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mint,
this five-coin set features the same reverse designs as the original
1908 coins, except for the double date 1908-1998. The cent does
not carry the country of origin, the only coin produced for Canada
by the RCM to do so. All coins are .925 silver, the cent is plated
with copper. mintage: 24,893. in burgundy leather case with five-hole
plastic insert. |
