New France 1722H 9 deniers VG-8 New France. This French coin was a special colonial issue imported by the Company of the Indies, a private trading company. They tried to transfer them to the government of New France. According to Charlton, this was not successful, so most were returned to France and only 8,000 or so pieces were put into circulation in New France. Normal date. clipped $125 $125
